Talkbridge was founded in 2009 by a team of linguists and business professionals who saw a gap in the translation industry: enterprises needed fast, reliable, and scalable language services, but were forced to choose between expensive boutique agencies and unreliable freelance marketplaces. We set out to build something different — a company that combined the personal attention of a specialist firm with the global reach and technological infrastructure of a large-scale operation.

Three Principles That Shape Every Decision

In our first year, we focused exclusively on legal and financial translation for London-based law firms and investment banks. The results spoke for themselves: our meticulous quality standards and rapid turnaround earned us repeat business and referrals that fuelled organic growth. By 2012, we had expanded into medical and pharmaceutical translation, obtaining ISO 17100 certification to formalise the quality processes we had already built into every project.

The following years brought international expansion. We opened offices in New York, Sofia, Bucharest, Auckland, Mumbai, Panama City, Paris, Madrid, and Berlin — each staffed with local project managers who understand the cultural and regulatory nuances of their region. This distributed model means that no matter where our clients are based, there is always a Talkbridge team working in their time zone, speaking their language, and anticipating their needs.

Today, Talkbridge manages a network of over 5,000 rigorously vetted, native-speaking translators covering more than 200 language pairs.
