These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website operated by Talkbridge LTD ("Talkbridge", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the British Virgin Islands (Company No. 1664226), and all translation services provided by Talkbridge. By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

2. Definitions

"Client" refers to any individual or organisation that requests or purchases translation services from Talkbridge. "Source Material" refers to the original text, documents, or content provided by the Client for translation. "Deliverables" refers to the completed translations and any associated files delivered to the Client. "Project" refers to a specific translation engagement as defined in the relevant quotation or agreement.

Talkbridge provides professional translation, localisation, proofreading, and related language services in over 200 language pairs. All translations are performed by qualified native-speaking linguists with relevant subject-matter expertise. We follow ISO 17100 standards for translation services, which includes professional translation, independent revision, and quality assurance checks.

3. Services

All quotations are provided free of charge and remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing is calculated on a per-word basis and is determined by language pair, subject-matter complexity, urgency, and volume. As a BVI-registered company, Talkbridge does not charge VAT on any services. A quotation becomes a binding agreement once the Client confirms acceptance in writing (including by email).

Standard payment terms are Net 30 days from the date of invoice. We accept bank transfer (SWIFT/SEPA), credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), and PayPal. Invoices are issued in GBP, EUR, or USD as agreed. For projects exceeding £10,000, milestone-based payment schedules may be arranged. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

Delivery timelines are agreed upon acceptance of the quotation and depend on project volume, complexity, and the number of target languages. Standard delivery is 2–3 business days for projects up to 10,000 words. Rush services (within 24 hours) are available at an expedited rate. Talkbridge will make commercially reasonable efforts to meet agreed deadlines but shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including late provision of Source Material by the Client.

All translations undergo a minimum two-stage quality process: professional translation by a native-speaking expert followed by independent revision by a second linguist. The Client may request revisions within 14 days of delivery at no additional charge, provided the revision request falls within the original scope and brief. Revisions arising from changes to the original Source Material or brief may incur additional charges.

The Client is responsible for providing complete and accurate Source Material, including any reference materials, glossaries, style guides, or specific instructions. The Client warrants that they have the legal right to provide the Source Material for translation and that the content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights. Incomplete or unclear Source Material may result in delays or additional charges.

Talkbridge treats all Client materials and information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose, share, or use Client materials for any purpose other than completing the agreed translation services. All linguists and staff are bound by confidentiality agreements. Upon request, Talkbridge will execute a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the commencement of work.
